As stated, the Hog Roast Congleton story begins a little over 2 decades ago. Our founders had worked in the industry for a little while, doing other jobs for other caterers, but it was always their dream to run their own business where they would be able to tailor a dining service that suited their own wants tastes for the industry.

That tailoring had to be to furnish events with plenty of style and spectacle in their dining, to make the entire service an event in its own right for guests to enjoy. That then came in the form of the hog roast as our founders looked to it as the perfect package for providing all that they wanted out of their event catering. Style, spectacle, tradition, novelty, and above all, exceptional roast tastes too – that was the hog roast in one.

The only issue, initially, with the hog roast is that there were not quite the right solutions available on the market to provide high quality hog roasts in the authentic style for events out on the road. Without the right equipment, Hog Roast Congleton couldn’t attain the high demands that we had for our catering, so rather than giving up our team went about designing and creating their own out of machine parts from a whole bunch of other catering rigs.

This became the very first Hog Roast Congleton hog roasting machine, and is very much the model for the machines that you will see our caterers using day in day out at each and every event in the country. They allow us the flexibility to create incredible roasts fresh at events as well as many other dishes, and a place to serve from too when we do van style dining services.
